It’s not always easy to find shows that appeal to children without boring parents. Once again this year, at the gates of Paris, La Seine Musicale has thought of families and offers a program adapted to children and adults. Film-concerts, musical tales, educational concerts around classical music… Here is what the 2022-2023 season has in store for you!

The Sunday Classical

Whether you’re young or old, it’s not always easy to learn about classical music… At the rate of about one show per month, Le Classique du Dimanche is an appointment designed for families that will guide you through classical music in one hour, top time!

Sabine and Simon tell us…

Sabine Quindou “the explorer” (you’ve probably already seen her on “C’est pas Sorcier“) and Simon Zaoui “the pianist” invite you to follow them in the great history of classical music! Together, they will tell you Bach, Beethoven, Ravel and the history of the piano.

Cine-concerts to discover classic films

Relive the first hours of cinema when silent films were accompanied by a piano or an orchestra to improvise a soundtrack throughout the projection.

The composer, pianist and improviser Karol Beffa invites you to discover two sacred monsters of cinema: Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton.

Charlie Chaplin, Sunday September 18 at 11 am
Buster Keaton, Sunday December 11 at 11 am

The king who didn’t like music

In an imaginary country, a grumpy king forbids his subjects to play music. But how can one live without music? Based on this unusual story, Karol Beffa composed a score for violin, cello, clarinet and piano that shows the characteristics of these instruments and the powers of music.

A musical tale imagined as a gateway to music that will allow the youngest to become familiar with the instruments and to understand how music can express feelings.

The carnival of animals

What would the animals of Saint-Saëns’ Carnival say if they could speak? This is what musical director Gildas Pungier imagined by adding vocal parts to this classical music “hit”. The result is a tale for young and old in the form of a funny and moving instrumental bestiary that will be performed by twelve singers.

And to illustrate this tale, the artist Grégoire Pont will draw a pictorial universe that will appear before your eyes during the show.
